Gymnastics, Tai Chi, Freeboxing
At the Academy of Fitness we are committed to teaching fitness at an affordable price to people of all ages and body types. Our goal is to create a foundation of exercise that can be maintained throughout all stages of life. Starting with pre-k classes for gymnastics and Freeboxing, we teach the fundamentals of body movement and postures. School-age children learn more advanced skills and muscle building techniques at their own pace. The same goes for teens and adults. Each program is specially designed for the individual. Students can continue to increase fitness levels in any of the courses.
Gymnastics and Freeboxing are high impact courses for people who want a powerful workout. Tai-Chi on the other hand is a low impact workout. The tai-chi program is perfect for seniors, people recovering from an injury, in need of physical therapy, or anyone looking for an exercise that requires very little movement and effort while still building muscle, burning fat, and increasing flexibility.
Our mission is to provide fitness programs for anyone who wants to learn, regardless of income; which is why we never ask anyone to sign a contract. Commitment to staying fit is up to the individual alone. There is no proof that people who sign contracts will attend more than people who don't, although that is the sales pitch most fitness providers will try to sell you. Don't buy it. We charge per class. With classes starting as low as $5, anyone can afford to attend at least once a week. For that price, you might as well try a class. If you like it, you'll be back again and again.
